Experience

Mr. Qureshi is chartered accountant by profession and a science graduate of 1988 from Punjab University with majors in mathematics. He qualified as CA in 1994 from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. He has the experience for managing a sizable assignment portfolio including auditing, corporate and public financial management, transaction advisory, risk assessment and system reviews. He joined Grant Thornton Afghanistan in August 2010 as the country head of practice and became CEO in 2015. Prior to this, he was working with KPMG Afghanistan as Director Audit & Financial Advisory Services. Before this he was serving with E&Y Bahrain and Grant Thornton Pakistan. He accomplished a variety of audit and consultancy assignments in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Middle East. During his stay in Afghanistan, he has worked on various audit, assurance and consulting assignments including in diversified sector including financial, commercial, development and public sector.

He is equipped with experience of more than 27 years; while major expertise includes financial reporting under various IFRS, IAS, IPSAS, U.S. GAAP, assurance, compliance and evaluation reviews, monitoring of development sector projects, field verification and validations, due diligence, financial modelling, feasibility studies, financial projection and analysis. As CEO of KAF, he is dedicated with engagement quality assurance, client relationships, business development, supervision and support to technical staff and acting as key technical resource on various engagements.
